Guangzhou Customs seized more than 3.58 million suspected infringing goods
In accordance with the unified deployment of the General Administration of Customs, Guangzhou Customs organized and carried out a special action for intellectual property protection, "Operation Longteng 2022", from February 1 this year to the end of the year to crack down on import and export infringements and violations of laws.
As of November 21, the customs had detained 5,048 batches of suspected infringing goods, involving 3.586 million pieces of goods, and protected the legitimate rights and interests of 323 domestic and foreign companies.
Since the beginning of this year, a total of 544,000 pieces of skin care products such as shampoo, lotion, body milk, sunscreen, toothpaste, perfume, etc. suspected of infringing on multiple internationally renowned brands such as 'VICTORIA'S SECRET' have been seized at the Nansha Port.
Recently, when inspecting a batch of goods declared for export under general trade, the customs officers of Nansha Customs under Guangzhou Customs found that although the goods were declared as "plastic bottles and porcelain tableware", they actually contained about 17,000 bottles of skin care lotion marked with the "VASELINE" logo. The fonts printed on the product packaging were of different sizes and relatively rough, posing a great risk of infringement. After contacting the right holder for confirmation, the right holder confirmed that the above-mentioned goods were products that infringed its intellectual property rights.

Shenzhen Customs seized more than 12 million pieces of infringing goods in the first three quarters
According to statistics, in the first three quarters, Shenzhen Customs seized more than 6,300 batches of suspected infringing goods and articles, and detained more than 12 million pieces of infringing goods and articles of various types.
Recently, Shenzhen Customs seized 300 auto parts marked with the "TOYOTA" logo in the cross-border e-commerce export channel. Toyota Motor Corporation, the right holder, confirmed that they were suspected of infringing its trademark rights. Shenzhen Customs detained the above-mentioned goods and launched an investigation into the case, and finally determined that the parties had infringed. Customs confiscated the infringing goods and imposed a fine on the parties.
"Smart Trademark Identification" is the latest intelligent law enforcement method promoted by the customs. This application integrates an intelligent query application system on the mobile inspection single-soldier law enforcement terminal. Relying on the customs knowledge base platform and the intellectual property trademark intelligent identification model, it can realize the rapid analysis of the intellectual property status of goods through big data through "image query".
In the first three quarters, Shenzhen Customs conducted more than 1,200 smart trademark verifications, uncovered more than 250 infringement cases, and seized more than 2.6 million pieces of suspected infringing goods.

This year's "Operation Dragon" will focus on cracking down on infringing goods exported to North America, Europe, South America, Africa, and member countries of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), strengthen customs protection of the intellectual property rights of the Olympic symbols of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics and Paralympics, and focus on monitoring high-risk infringing goods such as food, cultural and sports supplies, clothing, shoes and hats, glasses, and toys.
