2025-05-07

The latest news is that on April 10, local time in the United States, the White House clarified that the total tariffs imposed by Trump on China are 145%, not 125% as previously stated.

The United States has imposed tariffs on China to 145%

On April 9th local time, Trump announced on his social media that as a reasonable countermeasure to China's 50% tariff on US imports, the tariff rate on Chinese goods exported to the US will be raised again to 125%.

Previously, the United States imposed a 10% tariff on Chinese goods on February 3 and March 4 local time on the grounds of the fentanyl incident.

Therefore, the total additional tariff rate on goods imported from China in 2025 will be 145%.

According to the latest executive order from the White House, the 90% tariff rate will be raised again to 120%. From May 2 to June 1, the tariff for each small package will be raised from US$75 to US$100. After June 1, the tariff for each small package will be raised from US$150 to US$200.

Continue to retaliate! China raises tariffs on the United States to 125%!

Just now, the Tariff Commission of the State Council announced an adjustment to the tariff increase measures on imported goods originating from the United States.

Starting from April 12, 2025, the tariff rate on the United States will increase from 84% to 125%.

Given that at the current tariff level, there is no market acceptance for US goods exported to China, if the US continues to impose additional tariffs on Chinese goods exported to the US, China will ignore it. Details are as follows:
