Recently, a Guangzhou company declared about 6.8 tons of imported limestone to Huangpu Customs in the form of general trade. The cargo was found to be abnormal during the machine inspection by the port monitoring and command center. The machine inspection image showed that there were many faults in the limestone and obvious cavities. The on-site customs officers manually inspected and found that the cargo was a variety of building components with obvious dirt and weathering marks on the surface. The cargo was obviously mixed with leaves and sand impurities. The actual weight was found to be about 12.6 tons after weighing, which was inconsistent with the declaration.

The sampling and inspection results showed that the goods were solid waste prohibited from import by the country. This was the second time the customs found such foreign waste since March. It has been handed over to the disposal department for further processing.
