The center of this year's 20th typhoon "Nasha" was located at 10 o'clock this morning (17th) on the northeastern sea of the South China Sea, about 540 kilometers east-northeast of Sansha City, Hainan Province (Xisha Yongxing Island), that is, 19.6 degrees north latitude and 116.6 degrees east longitude. The maximum wind speed near the center was 13 (38 meters/second), the lowest central pressure was 965 hPa, the radius of the level 7 wind circle was 280-300 kilometers, the radius of the level 10 wind circle was 80 kilometers, and the radius of the level 12 wind circle was 40 kilometers.
It is expected that "Nasha" will move westward and southward at a speed of 15-20 kilometers per hour, and its intensity will increase to a certain extent, reaching the strongest typhoon level (level 14, 42-45 meters per second). On the 18th, "Nasha" will gradually weaken and approach the coast of southern Hainan Island. After passing over the sea surface of southern Hainan Island on the 19th, it will move towards northern Vietnam. At present, the possibility of "Nasha" landing on the southern coast of Hainan Island cannot be completely ruled out.
